The “Future of Mediation” Symposium was organized with the aim of comprehensively evaluating current developments in mediation law, through the cooperation of the Mediation Department of the General Directorate of Legal Affairs, the Ibn Haldun University Dispute Resolution Application and Research Center (UÇAM), and the Faculty of Law of Ibn Haldun University. The symposium was held online on 14 November 2020 under the hosting of Ibn Haldun University.
Conducted in six sessions, the symposium examined contemporary developments in the field of mediation within the framework of different branches of law, and assessed their legal implications and practical consequences in a multidimensional manner. Within this scope, a total of 28 academic papers were presented, offering analyses of existing legal regulations as well as views and proposals from the perspective of de lege ferenda.
The book of abstracts was prepared based on the papers that successfully passed a double-blind peer review process, with the aim of transforming the academic discussions on mediation law into a lasting scholarly resource.
