The Law on Mediation in Civil Disputes has undergone significant changes in line with the changing conditions and developing fields. Finally, with the Law No. 7445 adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 28 March 2023 and published in the Official Gazette on 5 April 2023, this Law has been updated to include some important new issues related to the litigation clause. These amendments, which entered into force as of 1 September 2023, envisage that mediation will become mandatory in areas such as lease relations, condominium ownership, neighbouring rights and dissolution of partnership. The papers presented at the symposium, which aims to bring together expert academics and practitioners in order to evaluate the effects of these comprehensive amendments on the judiciary, doctrine and practice, have been published in this book. The book aims to be a resource for researchers and practitioners working in this field.
