Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ibn Haldun University Dispute Resolution Application and Research Center and a faculty member of the Department of Civil Procedure, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law at the Faculty of Law, served as a moderator at the conference titled “The Development of Arbitration in Turkey’s New Century,” held at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce on June 17, 2026.

The conference addressed the development of arbitration law in Turkey, its current needs, and expectations in practice. Topics discussed included the widespread adoption of arbitration, the importance of arbitration in corporate law disputes, and current issues in judicial practice.

Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak moderated the second session, titled “The Importance and Widespread Adoption of Arbitration in Corporate Law Disputes.” The session addressed the resolution of corporate law disputes through arbitration, the function of arbitration in commercial disputes, and assessments aimed at improving arbitration practice.

By bringing together members of the judiciary, academics, and practitioners, the conference provided a platform for important discussions on strengthening the arbitration culture in Turkey and using arbitration more effectively in different types of disputes.
