Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu, delivered a presentation titled “The Validity of Mediation Settlement Agreements in Labor Law” at an event organized by the Istanbul Bar Association’s Arbitration Law Center on September 26, 2026, entitled “Mandatory Mediation as a Precondition to Litigation and Arbitration in Turkey 2026.”
Our Center Director Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu Discussed the Validity of Mediation Agreement Documents at the Istanbul Bar Association
Our Center Director Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu made her presentation on "Validity of Mediation Agreement Documents in Labor Law" at the event titled "Litigation Condition Mediation and Arbitration in Turkey 2026" organized by the Istanbul Bar Association Arbitration Law Center on September 26, 2026.
In the presentation, the validity of mediation agreement documents in labor disputes was evaluated within the framework of the decisions of the 9th Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals. The problems encountered in practice were discussed, focusing on the conduct of a real mediation activity, determining the scope of the agreement and the healthy formation of the will of the parties.
