Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak Participated in the Panel "Problems Faced by Turkish Contractors and the Resolution of Disputes Through Arbitration"

Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak, a member of the Board of Directors of the Ibn Haldun University Dispute Resolution Application and Research Center and a faculty member of the Department of Civil Procedure, Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law at the Faculty of Law, participated in the panel titled "Problems Faced by Turkish Contractors and the Resolution of Disputes Through Arbitration," held on May 20, 2026, at the Turkish Contractors Association Building in Ankara.

The panel, which addressed the resolution of disputes arising in construction and infrastructure projects through arbitration, evaluated topics such as pre-arbitration dispute management, investment arbitration, commercial arbitration, enforcement, execution, and annulment of arbitral awards from various perspectives.

Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak moderated the third session, titled “After the Arbitration Award: Enforcement, Execution, and Annulment of Arbitration Awards.” The session discussed enforcement and annulment processes between ICSID arbitration and other arbitration awards, the execution of arbitration awards, enforcement and annulment review, post-arbitration provisional measures and provisional attachment issues, and current problems related to contractors' foreign receivables.

The panel brought together academic, practical, and industry representatives in the field of arbitration, providing a platform for important discussions regarding effective, rapid, and specialized solutions to disputes faced by Turkish contractors.
