The "Peer and Family Mediation Seminar" organised in cooperation with Ibn Haldun University Dispute Resolution Research and Application Centre (IHU UÇAM), Peer-Der and Family Mediation Association attracted great interest. The first session of the seminar, which was held in three sessions, started with a presentation on "Peer Mediation".
The presentations in the seminar were enriched with interactive sessions between participants specialised in peer mediation and family mediation. Held on Saturday 23 December 2023, the event attracted great interest both face-to-face at Bakırköy Taş Mektep Campus and live on youtube.
The second and third sessions, which continued after the first session, focused on the theme of "Family Mediation", which has recently been on the agenda of the Ministry of Justice by experts. In this event, where the participants were mainly lawyer mediators, valuable information on peer and family mediation practices was shared.
The organisers of the seminar stated that the participants became more aware of peer and family mediation both during and after the seminar. This event was an important step that will contribute to more effective dispute resolution practice, peer and family mediation practices for the future.
