Our Deputy Centre Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu attended the 'Conference on Amendments and Reflections on KVKK'.
At the "Conference on Amendments and Reflections on KVKK" held on 11 June 2024 at the Conference Hall of Istanbul Anatolian Courthouse in cooperation with the Personal Data Protection Authority and Istanbul No. 2 Bar Association, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeliz Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu made a presentation titled "The Effects of the Amendments on Labour Law".
In his presentation, Bozkurt Gümrükçüoğlu discussed the amendments to the Law No. 7499 on the Amendment of the Code of Criminal Procedure and Certain Laws and the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data in terms of labour relations. Firstly, after mentioning the reasons underlying the amendment of the law and the existing legal regulations in terms of the processing of personal data in labour relations, the amendments regarding the processing conditions of special categories of personal data in Article 6 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data were evaluated comprehensively.
