In the event moderated by Prof. Dr. Ali Yeşilırmak, Vice Rector of Ibn Haldun University, Prof. Dr. Faruk Kerem Giray from Istanbul University Faculty of Law evaluated the historical development of international investment treaties with his presentation titled “The Past, Present and Future of BITs”. Prof. Dr. Serhat Eskiyörük from Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University gave a detailed presentation on “Sustainability Provisions in BITs”, focusing on sustainability provisions. Finally, Attorney Gürkan Çağan from Çağan Attorneys at Law addressed the impact of sustainability on investment arbitration with his presentation titled “Investment Arbitration Cases Arising from Sustainability Sensitivity”.
