The event titled “Family Mediation Series VI – Domestic Violence and Family Mediation,” organized by the Ibn Haldun University Conflict Resolution Application and Research Center (UÇAM), was held online on March 24, 2026. The event addressed the role of mediation in cases of domestic violence and whether it can be used as a solution method in these processes.
The sixth webinar in the "Family Mediation Series," organized by the Ibn Haldun University Conflict Resolution Application and Research Center (UÇAM), was held online on March 24, 2026, under the title "Domestic Violence and Family Mediation."
Attorney Ayşe Dilek Ergüler, a lawyer, psychologist, and founder of the Family Mediation Association (a UÇAM collaboration partner), participated as a speaker, offering her assessments on the place and limits of mediation in cases of domestic violence. The program specifically addressed the questions, "What is the role of mediation in cases of domestic violence?" and "Can mediation be used as a solution tool in these processes?"
The event provided a general overview of the sensitive nature of family mediation and the impact of violence on these processes, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness on the subject. The program concluded with significant participation.
